Kornyakt’s Tower

Kornyakt’s tower is one of the best Renaissance monuments of Europe.  The tower near the Uspens’ka (Uspenska) Church was built in 1580 by architect Peter of Barbone for Greek merchant, Constantine Kornyakt and hence was named after him - Kornyakt’s Tower. (more…)

Uspens’ka Church Complex

This is a wonderful example of Renaissance architecture with some Ukrainian influence thrown in.  The complex is the focal point of the Orthodox Church in L’viv. It has been build under patronage and with financial assistance of Constantine Kornyakt.
