The first Town hall was built in the late 1350s-early 1360s. It was a wooden construction with a tall tower and a gallery, destroyed by fire in 1381. In the early 17th century a new Town Hall was constructed. But this building did not survive either for in 1826 the tower fell down. (more…)

L’viv Opera House built by Zygmunt Gorgolewski in L’viv on built atop a marshy area through which the Poltva River flowed. It was the first time in Europe that solid concrete slabs were used in laying a foundation. L’viv Opera and Ballet Theatre - was constructed in 1897-1900 in the Viennese neo-Renaissance style. (more…)
