St. George Cathedral
The Greek Catholic St. George Cathedral is a pearl of old L’viv architecture. It is a beautiful relic in the Rococo style. St. George Cathedral is the main sanctuary of the Ukrainian Greek-Catholic Church. In July 1700 the act of consolidation of Lviv archdiocese with Rome was proclaimed here. (more…)
The Chapel of Boims - Renaiscence-building monument, built in XVII century. It was built to order of Lviv’ merchant George Boim in 1609-1615. The builder of Chapel is unknown. Possible Wrotzlaw’ architect and sculptor Andri Bemer.
The Ensemble of the Armenian Cathedral of the Assumption of the Saint Virgin combines Armenian and local design and techniques. Fine 14th and early 15th century wall-paintings are preserved in the interior.
